When it comes to selecting councillors, Wirksworth has a particular knack of electing representatives to the opposition group! We are represented on the Labour controlled County Council by a Conservative member and on the Conservative controlled District Council by three Labour members!
In addition, we have our own Town Council where elections are not always contested!
In total, Wirksworth has representation on three levels of Local Government and with three layers of administration it is sometimes hard to work out who does what. Hopefully these pages will help and gives links to your elected representatives.
